Local Meet Calendar
Since 2011, the OCSG has been running extra meets. Local meets are encouraged and can be organised at a local level, via the regional meet coordinator who will support the meet organiser to run a good event. This procedure will ensure that such meets are organised along recognised guidelines and provide an event where participants are suitably briefed, risks/responsibilities notified and sign-out/in forms used. Provided this procedure is followed a meet can be offered under the auspices of the OCSG, publicised here/elsewhere and enjoy the benefits of our BCU affiliation. Meets can be offered only by those who have previously attended at least one other meet. This will ensure that they have experienced first hand what is required to organise an OCSG meet.
If you would like to run a Local Meet in your area please contact your Regional Coordinator and talk it through with him. These can be organised at the last minute but the more notice that you give, the more likely there will be a good turnout. If there is time, it would be good to also inform the gossip editor or to post it on the OCSG Facebook page.
The forms that must be used at any OCSG meet are available to download and print on this website (Resources)
